The Ten Least Consequential White Sox Players

Not Royals-related of course, but in the same vein as the Twenty Most ObscureRoyals Players, I bring you "The Ten Least Consequential White Sox Players", from Mouthpiecesports.

Elmer Pence, 1922
1 game, 0 plate appearances, 1 putout

Pence, I assume, was sent out to right field late in the game one day. I like to think that he caught a fly ball, said “so long suckers,” and walked away with the ball, never to be seen again. Major League Baseball was not played again until 1927, when someone finally saved up enough money to go to the drug store and buy another baseball. Elmer Pence was a jerk.

I almost like this guy.

I'll have to fight to remember that he's probably the type who would get drunk and attack a defenseless Royals first-base coach.

"If everyone could stop fretting over egg-headed statistical tenets like “sample size,” we could admit that Chuck Lindstrom was way better than Babe Ruth."

I love this line!

Elmer knocked up my grandma and then just walked away.
