The "100 Greatest Royals of All-Time" has attracted the attention of the mainstream media. The Yahoo! Sports Blog "Big League Stew" referenced it in the recent puzzling Hall of Fame vote of Pedro Gomez. Apparently, the fact that Jay Bell was the 100th Greatest Royal of All-Time was enough to sway Pedro Gomez into voting Bell into the Hall of Fame.

Included on Pedro's choices for Cooperstown were Rickey Henderson and Jim Rice, who were elected, along with Andre Dawson and Lee Smith, both of whom elicit reasonable cases.
Oh, and he also voted for Jay Bell.

Yes, that Jay Bell, regarded by Royals Review as the 100th Greatest Royal of All Time for his above-average '97 campaign.

The national press needs to know where Kevin Appier stands on the 100 Greatest Royals list before he appears on next year's Hall of Fame ballot!

On the other hand, Bluebird Banter has, for the first time in a while, gone 3 days without advancing their countdown.
Always was a fan of Rick Reed. Never really understood why we gave him up - his numbers weren't too shabby. But I guess it didn't seem like he had great "stuff."
Well deserved mention. Today a footnote, tomorrow a blogging superstar. Really enjoy this series. Brings back a lot of good memories and you deserve credit for the work and meticulous researching.
All this guys are dead or old, who cares ? I can't understand people they like to remember things that are in past, it's not useful and it's a waste of time.
